TOP QUESTIONS WE HEAR FROM PATIENTS
Do I need to make an appointment?
No, we do have walk-in hours. However, we reccommend all patients schedule an appointment in advance to reduce your wait time!

Do you accept my insurance?
We accept Medicaid, Amerigroup, Peachstate, Wellcare, Caresource, VSP, EyeMed, Kaiser, Humana, United Healthcare, Aetna, and Blue Cross Blue Shield, and some Medicare plans. If we don't accept your insurance, or you don't have insurance, we have affordable options for any budget.

Are my glasses and contact lens prescriptions the same?
No, these are two different prescriptions! A glasses prescription is checked during every comprehensive eye examination and provides us with the prescription that will be used to make your lenses for your frames. Your doctor will use these numbers along with other measurements, such as the shape of your eyes, to determine the best type and brand of contacts for you. Contacts must be fit on your eye by your doctor to provide you with the best vision, comfort, and eye health while wearing contact lenses. A contact prescription will specify not only your prescription number, but also the measurements and brand of lenses that both you and your doctor have discussed.

How often do I need an eye exam?
Annual comprehensive eye exams are crucial to ensure you maintain optimal vision, eye health, and systemic health. Additionally, most vision insurance plans cover one eye exam per year.
Some eye conditions require more frequent monitoring, and our well-trained doctors will educate you on how often your eye health should be checked.

Does my child need an exam?
It is recommended for children to get comprehensive eye examinations from as young as 6 months old, as parents may be unware of their child's vision problems. As almost 80% of information children learn in classrooms is presented visually -- vision problems can negatively affect a child's ability  to learn and perform in school.
